Leveraging rezoning on the
Park Avenue Corridor

This report seeks to address the issues of food insecurity and sovereignity in East Harlem. We argue that the 2017 East Harlem rezoning plan should be leveraged to propose site-specific and community-driven projects to develop joint- initiatives between the affordable housing sector and the community food systems, as a first step to achieve food sovereignty.

Enhancing Economic Mobility

In the Urban Policy lab, a client-centered course, we worked with NYC Administration of Children’s Services developing a formal briefing and recommendation addressing the ways in which  ACS’ Division of Prevention Services could increase economic mobility for families within the system.

In the Urban Policy lab, a client-centered course, we worked with the Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs developing a formal briefing and recommendation addressing MOIA's systems capacity to make referrals to constituents 

INFORMAL HOUSING 

As a consultant, I conducted a normative study about the procedure to formalize informal Housing in Bogota. I was also responsible for conducting Interviews with public employees and elected officials.  

PUBLIC SPACE PLAN IN POPAYAN

As a Consultant, I wrote a report about the regulatory characteristics of public space in the Plan for territorial regulations(POT) in Popayan to develop a geographic management database system 

Property  and Zoning analysis

 I conducted floor area ratio and urban norm analysis for housing development, that included a revision of Zoning and FAR requirements and  development of different scenarios for intervention 

DATA COLLECTION WITH RPAS

As a consultant, I assisted in the strategic planning and recollection of data by Remotely Piloted Aircraft System, for the development of a Flood risk management plans
